Each appraiser in the business completed the appraisal skills course. This led to an improvement in the standard of performance and development conversations meaning that employees can fully embrace the opportunities available to them in the company.
Working in a tough economic climate with stretching targets, the client wanted to invest in staff and build on their existing expertise, strong work ethic and culture of delivering a premium service in order for them to realise their career goals. There was evidence that, because of the pressure to deliver, staff needed to learn how to have more productive discussions in order to resolve conflict.
A workshop was designed and rolled out in the UK and Europe that helped participants understand that a healthy exchange of ideas is invaluable and provide the tools and techniques needed to manage challenging conversations in a productive manner, without emotions getting in the way.
Feedback indicated that the tools and techniques were instrumental in resolving major issues and that the fear of conflict has been mitigated.

“May I say that you have a captivating presence as a trainer. I had thought that two days was going to be a bit long (concentration lapses etc.) but I don’t know where the time went. We were included and informed and everyone I spoke to said they had learned so much about themselves and how they work.”
